Photography is more than just taking snapshots of family and friends.  It is more than having the latest equipment.   Photography evokes emotion.   A photographer friend of mine once told me, "Whatever you photograph, you first see with your heart."  Photography becomes a form of meditation.  It becomes a philosophy.  It allows the photographer to communicate how they see the world.  When I look at photographs I always ask, "What made that one instant in time worth preserving in a photograph?"   With all my images, I try to elicit some type of emotional response from the individual viewing the image.  And I hope they ask, "What made that instant worth preserving?"
